89year old mom taking to increase appetite. Believed to be causing vaginal bleeding. Can that be possible for someone who's. Had a complete hysterectomy?

Yes, I'm sorry. She's taking Megace (a hormome) that's used for increasing appetite, and bleeding can be a side affect, but just wondering how that can be if she's had a complete hysteroctomy. Sorry, I've been on so many websites I must have thought I was on a forum talking about the drug. :-)
