Now on uroqid2 along with 500 mg vitamin c for 7 days – urine test now negative but symptoms still persist. Will I need further antibiotic treatment and if so what next? It sounds like you are being followed by a urologist. If not, it is probably time to see one. I have been struggling with chronic UTIs for some time now and it looks as if I will need to be on a suppression dose of antibiotics from here on out. We'll see. You might ask your doctor if you should try being on a suppressant dose for 6 months to see if you can interrupt whatever process is going on. Of course, I'm sure you know that it is important to know whether or not the particular bacteria you are dealing with is sensitive to whatever antibiotic you are taking. I wish you the best. These infections are no fun!
