There are many factors that play into an overdose. Such as weight, metabolism, food consumed, and natural tollerance. Technically speaking more than 2 tsp (5 mL) in a 24 hr period is too much. If I remember correctly tussionex is extended release and contains 10 mg codone. XR medication is the worst kind to over use because uncomfortable effects may take a while to set in if you take too much. With that much narcotic in you there should be more than enough to stop a cough.
