Tryptophan - Can this product be given to children under 12 years old?

Studies on tryptophan have been done only in adult patients, and there is no specific information comparing use of L-tryptophan in children with use in other age groups.

Use in children must be determined by a doctor.

I have checked in the books and on the computer I cannot find where this is given to anyone other than adult age sorry I could not be of more help best wishes
