Trinessa birth control reminder pills question?

I started Trinessa birth control five days ago (as in tonight will be my fifth pill). I started it on the first day of my period (when my doctor told me to). I was talking to a friend and she said the middle reminder pills weren't necessary.
My question is if I decide to skip those pills, do I wait until I would have been finished with them to start on my new pack (white pills)? The way she explained it seemed like when I finished my last blue pill I would start the white pills on the next day.
I don't want my period (this is why I'm taking birth control).

If you don't want to have your period when you get to the reminder pills you start a new pack.
