Can you give tramadol to dogs and are there any guidelines for dosage?

Hi you can use Tramadol for dogs. I am a veterinary nurse and we use them mostly for cancer cases. My dog, a staffie has been taking them for a few months now and they help him a lot. My dog weighs about 20kg and takes a 50mg capsule twice daily. I wouldn't recommend medicating without veterinary instruction though.
