Toprol-XL - what is the best Beta Blocker on the market?

I have Tachycadria S / and i take a beta blocker called Metoprolol and it works wonders. I had a sleeping heart rate of 150 and while i was up it was over 200, I take 100mg a day 2 pills one at night one in morning and have no side effects whatsoever. My Uncle takes it also, not sure what his condition is but he's been on it for years and he has never had any problems with it, as far as i'm concerned it's safe. But that is my opinion i'm not a professional this is just my experience.

Your mother can not just stop taking the Toprol XL (metoprolol) as it can cause chest pain, irregular heart beat and even heart attack. Please consult your doctor.

I take good ole' Atenolol, & so does my husband. I have a fast irregular heatbeat & it's has really helped me. It is an older drug, but it works. Jusy my thoughts...
