Toprol-XL - is toprol prescribed with lisinopril very often--if so why?

I guess if your blood pressure is not controlled with just one medicine (at a relative dose) then the other medicine is added to control blood pressure. Toprol and lisinopril work differently so hopefully you will not experience too many side effects and the blood pressure will be controlled better.
