Impetigo is a common skin infection caused by streptococcus (strep) or staphylococcus (staph) bacteria. A mild infection may be treated with a prescription antibacterial cream. More severe cases may require antibiotics, taken by mouth. You will need to see your doctor.

Topicort is a topical steroid used to treat inflammatory conditions of the skin. It shouldn't be used on skin infections.
