Danzie, tell me about your relationship with your primary provider. If you don't have an excellent relationship there, then you need to move on until you find the right one who asks EVERYTHING about you - your presenting issues, as well as a comprehensive holistic view of YOU. I know this because I have not only a primary like this but also 2 of my specialists, my cardiologist and my endocrinologist.
I'm not saying it was easy to find them, I got lucky on the specialists but that was due to my primary sending me to practitioners like her. I sought out a women's health center that promoted in their marketing materials that they treat the whole woman. And they do. So if your provider is not taking care of you - even if you have a breakdown in the office (which I do at least once a year) - please keep searching until you find the right one.
I don't know anyone in the Pompano area, maybe you could try posting another Question specifically looking for a good caring primary in that area. You have to find someone that will look after all your concerns, get you to the right specialists and manage all those results together. If you were in metro-Phoenix I'd take you right to Sindy Sheldon or Cindy Rosek. In fact, I'll ask them if they have a referral for anyone in Pompano.
