Details:
After tapering for about 3 months, I am on:
10 mg Opana ER and 5 mg.Opana IR in the early am;
5 mg OpanaER and a 5mg OpanaIR at noon;
5 mg Opana IR at 3 pm, and:
5 mg Opana ER and a 5 mg Opana IR around 6 pm.
Can you suggest a plan to taper down from these?
I really appreciate it. I am having to take more in the morning because I am soooo anxious. I guess the Opana is out of my system after sleeping.

i am on a taper from percocet 10/325, but i believe a taper is a taper. look in my friends list for laurieshay or thor, they will help you come up with a great taper plan with little to no withdrawls. ive tried many different tapers and failed, this last one im on is from thor and is working. great job on wanting off of the opiates. hang in there and keep us posted. leanne

I have a question... are you tapering off yourself or with the advice of a doctor??? I was put on percocet 10/325 to taper, and it isn't working at all.

sorry for the late reply, my im doing it with the support of my dr, how are you doing? you said your doing a taper and its not working? hang in there and dont give in. its all trial and error, if the one your doing dont work, try another one. there are so many who has and still is tapering off opiates. you will find one that suits you best. the best taper is a slow taper that way you wont have too bad of withdrawls. take care, leanne
Speak to your dr. about Suboxone. It's what they detox you with.
Tapering down never worked for me. My doctor put me on Suboxone and I had no withdrawl symptoms. The hardest part is convincing your brain you do not need the percocert anymore. Good Luck
