Is the pill I am taking "doxycycline" used in treatment of std's?

yes, it can be used to treat std's (gonorrhea and syphilus in people who cant take penicillins) but it is an antibiotic used to treat many different infections like strep and staph infections and is sometimes used in conjunction with Flagyl in treating diverticulitis among other uses.
