texasjanie... disease. When I saw basically it is an inflammatory,histamine producing disease i came up with a simple med dose that does help me. I take Ibuprophen(an anti-inflamatory drug) and Benedryl(an anti-histamine) each night. Of course I take what meds my dr thinks are necessary but they have all been impressed with my thoughts on this. Has anyone ever tried this combination with any results?

i have tried the same way with the anti inflammatory and that seems to take down some of the aoin and swelling, but only temporarily..As for the benadryl I take that only for itching from certain med types..My doctor put me on a new anti inflamm named salsalate, this combined with regular advil does the trick..

I think you're onto a great idea... I too have tried taking an anti-histamine with an anti-inflammatory @ bedtime. It does seem to help. It also helps to make sure my system is not too acidic so I go heavy on eating vegetables & minimize all sugar intake. That really makes a difference for me. Wishing you all the best...
