Also have glaucoma and on an eye drop beta blocker... any reaction with synthroid? I am 69 years old. I am worried about my bones and vision.

Yes-you can ask for Armour beef thyroid extract. It's natural-works well for me- been taking it since the 1980s- take calcium too. Don't drink soda pops or soft drinks- different names in different areas. They have a chemical that causes you to urinate calcium out of your body, so to keep your heart regulated a chemical process takes calcium out of your bones, which you urinate out when you have another soft drink. Rootbeer doesn't have this chemical-only safe soft drink. Also if you take meds for GERD-check them-as some also leach calcium from your body too. There is a website called Women to Women. It was started by Christine Northrup, the famous gyno who has written many books on menopause. I actually use their phone and computer support, along with their supplements. You can also get phone interviews with the doctors who will tell you what tests to get, and send them the results, or you can go to Maine, and actually see them in person. To make a long story short, I actually HAD osteoporosis at 48 YO, and I was going as far as taking Boniva IV every three months. I had to have a tooth pulled because of the Boniva, and stopped it looking for something better. I have been on the Women to Women better bone program now for two years, and my latest DEXA scan shows absolutely NO osteoporosis OR osteopenia. I am thrilled. It was their program of vitamins, calcium, vit. D, vit. K, etc. They do amazing research into all sorts of women's problems, and offer other medical support also, all for women around menopause. Hope that this helps you too!
