The side effects of this med looks really difficult to handle. I also have insomnia and RLS.I take vicodin for pain and celexa as a propalactic for depression. I have had sleep studies, talk therapy, taken all the off lable parkinson meds (that Requip was pure hell) and have about run out of new ideas... this Zyprexa is something new...

... and lexapro (15 mg) and clonazapam (1.0 mg) for anxiety/depression and sleep. I checked my blood sugar today (should be normal) with a glucose monitor and fasting was 108 and 2 hours after a hi carb challenge meal (rice and sweet potatoes) it was 164. Would a low carb diet help reduce these numbers? I'm disappointed such a low dose would have adverse effects on my blood sugar (its been about a month since I started the olanzapine).

I take 150mg of Anafranil with 10mg of Zyprexa. Other than the fact that i hardly pick my lips than i used to, my ocd and anxiety is still there. The only thing my psych doc has been doing is raise my zyprexa from 5mg then to 7.5mg and now 10mg.
Im not sure whether i should ask her to raise the anafranil to 200-250mg or take a different medication.
I used to take Zoloft two years and out of 5 medications it was the first and only one that worked for me but then it stopped after two years.

whenever I mentioned weight gain to my pcp or my psyc. dr they admitted it causes weight gain, but without much conviction. I finally did my homework. I have blown up to a size that I have never been outside of pregnancy. It is having a very negative impact on my life. Recently, I tried lamictal, but I felt so weird on it, I couldn't take it and I was missing more and more work because of it. So I went back to depakote. What are my alternatives? My legs, feet, and back actually hurt often...

Is there a reason in Symbyax combined doses there is no Zyprexa level above 12.5?? At 10mg I had no decrease in auditory hallucinations, at 20mg they're for the moment pretty much hushed. So im not complaining about the dose Just concerned. Also if anyone has experience with THIS PLUS being on Suboxone that would be all the better. But psych meds come first

My son started taking Zyprexa when he was 10 and took it for approx. 3 years. Yes, he gained a large amount of weight, but was able to lose it once he stopped taking the meds. Now, he is 21 years old and is constantly in AFIB and taking cardiac medication. We are wondering if this could be caused by the medication.
