What if taking Prandin along with Glyburide while they work the same?

I don't want to become insulin dependant, but what other choices do I have left?
I take 50/1000 and in addition, I have to use Prandin with every meal to keep my blood sugar below. diabetes is now affecting my feet, I have numbness in several places.

If I forget to take my prandin before dinner when should I take it?
