I have seen a lot of post on the internet about mirtazapine and weight gain. Saying that the medication it self puts wright on you. How can a tablet do that? Surley it is what you eat? I can understand that the med can increase your appetite, so if you eat healthly then you shouldnt put weight on? Any comments would be welcomed Jools

I have been taking Lexipro for a year now and although it has helped with my anxiety it has also caused me to gain 10 pounds. I’ve asked my doctor if there’s a medicine that doesn’t cause weight gain and she recommended Pristiq, and mentioned that it might cause weight loss. As a slim guy I can’t afford to lose too much weight, but at that the same time I certainly don’t want to gain any more weight.

My doctor started me on Viibryd about a month ago after I'd been on Lexapro for years and it had stopped working as well. I did the standard step-up dosage pattern with the starter pack... started at 10mg and was up to 40mg by the 3rd week. I should mention that I am anorexic and bulimic and my doctor is well aware of this, and when he told me about this new Viibryd medication I adamantly stated that I CANNOT be on anything that causes weight gain. (I also take 450mg of Wellbutrin XL and...

I keep reading that Bipolar meds. generally cause weight gain, but what I am experiencing is weight loss, & total lack of appetite -- especially with the Triliptal. Concerning Seroquel, I look at food and want to vomit --plus I can't remember anything, and walking is a task in itself. I feel like I am walking sideways (ataxia) Anyone else experience no interest in food with the antipsychotic meds. or even with an anticonvulsant like Triliptal?

My doc wants me to change from Gabapentin to Lyrica. I did my research but I want YOUR opinion. I don't want to stop Gab and change to Lyrica because of weight gain. I guess Lyrica is better for pain then Gab. I have fibromyalgia and I'm taking 2400 mg of Gab a day. I guess that's too much because Gab causes bad memory probs. I have signs of dementia, and I want to do the right thing. My doc lowered my dose of Gab to 1500 mg. yesterday. I'm uncomfortable with the abrupt halt...
