I started Lexapro 4 years ago for anxiety. The medicine has changed my life and I am now trying to taper off of it. However I have gained 40lbs and it has been nearly impossible to loose the weight. I gained 30lbs of it all in a 3 month span 6 months after I started the medicine. Since then the scale keeps climbing. Anyone else have this problem?

My doctor told me to go down to 25 mg of Lexapro for a week, then combine it with 25 mg of Zoloft the next week. But I'm actually only on 20 mg of Lexapro ... do I go down to ten for a week, then take both Lex and Zoloft together the next week? I'm a little afraid of serotonin syndrome. All during this, I'll stay on my 100 mg of Wellbutrin. I find that doctors are a little muddled about drug switches, so I always research. Thanks!!

Been taking Lexapro for years. Works good. Just had some health issues and I felt like I needed a boost. Looking for more energy, less fatigue and a willingness to do more. My doc gave me 150 mg of Wellbutrin. Did nothing. Looking for energy. I was wondering if increasing the Lexapro from 10 mg to 20 mg would help. Does anyone take 20 mg and do you feel more energy , etc. Lexapro has been great for me with no side effects and no weight gain. Who takes 20 mg og Lexapro and how does it work ?>

Hello. I have severe anxiety, depression, headaches, severe vertigo and am medication resistant. I've tried about 20 different antidepressants with no luck due to side effects.
Impact of Lexapro and Wellbutrin Together As One Ages?

I am now 66. When I was about 60 I started to take lexapro (10-15 mg.) and wellbutrin (300 mg.) together. For a number of years they combatted depression very well. Recently I have been in a down period because of the appearance of very low-grade prostate cancer and a dicey job situation. . The drugs don't seem to be working as well. Does the impact of the two together change as one gets older?

I have been taking Lexipro for a year now and although it has helped with my anxiety it has also caused me to gain 10 pounds.
