What do I do if: I put a new patch on last night and this morning it came off and won't restick?

When and how do I stop using the patch?
I have been using it for about 3 years. My doctor told me to stop if I wanted to and then let him know if I had and reactions. It was my understanding that I should not quit cold turkey. What do I do?
