What is the difference between carvedilol, nebivolol, and metoprolol?

I have been taking atenolol for about 35 years for apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Due to articles I have read recently, I want to change to a different beta blocker, but don't understand the differences, except that carvedilol and nebivolol are vasodilators. I had some minor trouble with heart failure after a recent ablation for AF.

Can I give my husband magnesium for his heart, he takes Coreg & a Vitamin C, B6 & omega3 supplement?

My husband, 61, takes Coreg 25 mg 2x a day. I have read that magnesium is a good supplement for the heart. Is anyone familiar with taking magnesium and Coreg also? Coreg is one of 5 other meds that he takes. His diagnosis was cardiomyopathy, 8years ago. He does take a multiple vitamin, and additional C and B-6 (50mg) and an Omega 3. If magnesium will have a positive impact on his heart and not be a problem with his meds, we would like to try this.

Or i am not sure if the meds are causing it but I have cardiomyopathy and am on many meds.I would like to know what meds other people are on for this disease. It does'nt seem to be a tried and true med list. The Drs. seem to be guessing. My gout bothers me more then the cardiomyopathy. Now I also have stomach swelling along with everything else. Last summer i was diagnosed with that specific kind of cardiomyopathy... im quite symptomatic as well. I was just wondering if anyone here might be able to explain to me exactly what this is or exactly what it could mean for me. My cardiologist explains everything in confusing "dr terms" sometimes... maybe i could get a different perspective?

I am taking Metoprolol and Diovan every day in small doses, and recently added several new supplements to my daily pill routine, including Phosphatidylserine, CoQ10, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and others. I have also recently quit taking Celexa/Citalopram after being on it for 21 months. I am 60 and at present I am having terrible anxiety, irrational outbursts, anger build-up and explosions, and very little patience. I'm post-menopausal, have a good outlook on life, love to help others and...
