I was diagnosed with shingles on my ribs and given a 7 day course of acyclovir 800mg tablets. I&#039;d had burning skin and muscle aches at the shingles site for nearly a week and then general feeling of unwell and 2 spots had appeared 2 days before I got the drug. 

Since I started taking it I&#039;ve been getting really odd sensations like cold pins and needles and occasionaly a sort of flushing/burning all over my body. Sometimes feet, then maybe head, genital area, back, ears.
