Just found this on Drugs.com; Possible side effects of Supartz :
All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome:
Back pain; mild bruising, heat, redness, swelling, or pain at the injection site; temporary achy feeling; temporary knee inflammation.
So maybe the pain will ease up. Suggestion, get a package of peas or corn from the freezer and put it on the knee for 15 mins and 1/2 hr off. Do this a few times. I suggested peas or corn because they when applied in the bag conform to the shape of the knee.

sorry about that . it was a supartz shot and it was for my knee ,(i have authritis in it) and no he did not hit the bone ,i dont think
