I have been on Suboxone for 5 mounths and I still keep doing OC about every two weeks and now i just wanted to quit. I heard the Suboxone is harder to quit then OC. So should I just do OC for about a week and then quit? would those withdrawals be easier to deal with. OC withdrawals only last a week and I heard suboxone withdrawals last 2-5 weeks. any input would help.
Thanks

I am a little confused about your post. Suboxone, if taken regularly and correctly, will block any effect of any opiate. Are you taking the suboxone every day? If you aren't, then you probably haven't gotten to the point where you are dependent on it and shouldn't have withdrawal from that. If you are, then you need to taper the dose CORRECTLY, down to .25 milligrams and then skip days before you get off of it. The reason people have severe withdrawal from suboxone is because they didn't Correctly taper it and came off of it at too high a dose. There are several posts on the suboxone forum telling how to correctly taper the dose down. There just isn't enough info in your post to tell you what exactly to do. Ideally you should taper either of those 2 meds before you come off. Join the suboxone group and read the posts and questions that are there or give us some more info, or both.

My husband and I are both on it and when I read your question out loud, he said "no, no way." We still go back and forth too. I have not really noticed any withdrawal effects from Suboxone if I have my Xanax to take, and I take 8 to 16 mgs. per day. We still go back and forth too... we get really frustrated at ourselves for doing it. My husband says "I would take a Suboxone withdrawal over a OC withdrawal, anytime, anyplace, anyday"

I hate to tell you this, but, you are not supposed to take XanaX or any other benzo while on suboxone. It really can cause you to quit breathing. Please be careful. I have heard of a couple of people taking it while on suboxone and I promise you, every thing I have ever read, says not to take benzos. I have panic disorder and they won't let me take even a small dose with it. I went to a recovery center to get off Lortab and I wasn;t on a high dose, I only take 4 milligrams a day of suboxone and our counselor even said not to take it with suboxone. Please be careful and talk to the pharmacist about that.
