I have been taking pain medication for 4 years now due to a car accident. I have 2 herniated discs in my lower back, a bulging disc mid back, herniated disc in my neck and bulging in my skull. I also have nerve damage in my right leg. I strated out on vics, then Norcos, percs and now I am on 4 30mg roxycodone a day. I want to stop, I don't feel I am addicted but I am dependent on it to help with the pain, i don't take it to get high and have been trying to cut back on my own. I wanted to know if i went on suboxon if it will still help with the pain. My pain level is very hig even with the meds I take now. I want to have another baby but don't know how I will be able to handle my back pain. Ant info would be great Thank you.

If you want to get off the roxies and feel better I can help you with the subs. I was taking thirty 30mg roxies a day for all kinds of legitimate pain. Here is the link for how I base my suggestions. This is how I got clean with subs. You should go to the drugs.com forum and start a thread. Read around on the forum and get back to me. Here's the link.

Why do it on your own !!! Do you go to a Pain Management/Addiction Physician? If not go to the NAABT.org web page and they will help you in your search for a doctor. They may have to put you on Subutex as you want to have another child. You may not think or we may not think you are addicted but your system by now needs the drug to feel a little better. This may be the limit that your doc can help. Get another opinion, also not all physicians can prescribe certain drugs. They need a special DEA license.

I have been on Suboxoine for 10 months now and let me tell you it does NOT help me with pain. The doctors tell me o no it helps, its like taking direct morphine. Well I can honestly say that I myself am looking for remidies to take to help me with my pain. The few things that I no help me are: massage by a physical therapist, a spray on pain reliefer called Biofreeze, my memory foam pillow that I lay my killing me neck and shoulders on. Resting everyday where I must lay flat on my bed with a bolster(or pillows) under my knees, and my head on the memory foam pillow and laying there uniterrupted for a minimum of one hour everyday. These are my few examples that give me temporary relief I hope some may help you. PS- I am still glad that I came off of the pain meds, even thou I'm now in pain constantly. Just better quality of life now with a HUGE battle along my side.

Thank you. I do go to pain management now. Actually my pain management Dr said I could still take 15mg roxy's while I am pregnant, but I would be too scared to do that. You mentioned subutex??? / I never heard of that before. Thanks for your help.
Ask if you could slowly lower the amount till you use it PRN (As needed).
