Rmalt,
Unfortunately you cannot break open the capsule and take the medication because it causes the medication to be absorbed too quickly. If taking the medication is a major issue, you might talk to her doctor about prescribing Vyvanse instead because it can be opened and poured into a liquid and drank or mixed into food. Hope this helps.
