Hi there! I'm a daily headache sufferer who deals with Depression/OCD and just recently been dealing with ADD (focus, concentration, etc) and my doctor was SOOO against me taking stimulants that she initially started me out on Strattera.
I only took it for a week, because A) I didn't see/feel any results with focus and concentration, and B) when I would work out and get my heart rate up, I would get all weirdly tingly all over my skin! Especially on my scalp! It was weird! I didn't like it, and it prevented me from working out because I couldn't get my heart rate over 160 without side effects.
Sadly, now my doctor thinks I'm sensitive to meds, which is so untrue. I take 4 advils several times a day for headaches and it does nothing! I think it all depends on the medications.
I didn't have really any time to lose weight on the Strattera, but it's not a real stimulant, so I can't imagine losing much. I also didn't have time to notice any sexual dysfunction either, sorry.
After a lot of trial and error with my depression meds and ADD meds, she's finally decided it's ok for me to TRY stimulants. So in addition to my daily Effexxor, I take Ritalin. She has me on a ridiculously low dose though, so hopefully she'll raise it. I have noticed a little improvement in focus and concentration, but I am also noticing a slight raise in headaches too. :( (like to having headaches 90% of the time instead of 75% of the time.)
I hope I helped! Tell me how you do!
