He has completed 3 cycles of Paclitaxel,Cisplatin and 5FU.He has been further advised Inj.Irinocam 140mg,Inj.Oxaliplatin 100mg,
(1 day) and Cap Xeloda 2000mg daily for 15 days. Please kindly guide is it advisable to take these medications. He is a patient with low Platelet count. His platelets never cross the 80,000-90,000. What are his chances of recovery

Hopefully his chances are high! My dad wasn't so lucky. He was diagnosed with carcinoma of the stomach Nov of '07. He lived 2 years after that. He passed away Nov 3, 2009! He was doing well with the chemo and radiation and he was in remission for about 7 months, till it came back with a vengeance! This past July dr's gave him a few days to live. We saw him suffer thru it all till the very end, where he didn't speak, see or recognize his loved ones. That was difficult. He was 54 years young!
