... the way Narcan pulls dope out of your system, but just not as extreme. Is that true? Now I'm afraid to take my prescribed Addreall!

Hey Krissie,
Alcohol and adderall are not going to "pull" methadone out of your system like Narcan does with dope. Narcan replaces narcotics on the receptor sites of the brain cellls. Adderall is not going to compete for the same receptor sites as the methadone. So don't think you have anything to worry about as long as you are taking exactly as prescribed. The alcohol can interact with both the adderall and the methadone. To read about these interactions please go to:

Hope this helps,

That is a myth and totally nonsensical. Don't be afraid to take your adderall, there are no interactions between methadone and Adderall. You should NOT be drinking on Methadone, however. Unless you're just planning on one glass of wine (or the equivalent one beer, one shot of hard liquor), don't drink while on Methadone.

Thank you for ur information, and for pointing me in the right direction for some good clinical info as well. It's strange 4 me 2 b taking my meds as prescribed, be thats what I've been doing for the past 3 months, since I got on the clinic. But it's been the best 3 months of my life, so I dont wanna screw it up by taking something I shouldn't, or something that'll make me sick. So, THANK YOU!! : )
You are welcome and good to hear you are doing well.
