... doing a scope on her knee. She is almost 18 was diagnoised with JRA 2.5 years ago. She does not have symptoms anymore other than the pain. Any thoughts??

I hate pain period. I might or might not depending on how much pain she can take doing the scope. I had a friend who did physical thearpy and she got her daughter which had a torn ACL back in shape without surgery. I guess it depends on how much pain she can endure and how long you want to go with therapy. I hope you choice turns out to be the best.Much luck...
