... dark red discharge. That happened around my 3rd and 5th month on the pill. Then this previous month instead of my normal period I had the brownish-dark red discharge. Is this normal?
Added 30 Mar 2010:
But also this last month I had a period that was much lighter than normal, usually I go for about 3 days give or take; but this last time I was barely 2 days? Is this normal as well?

Yes, it is normal. This brownish/red discharge is old blood that had not come down. So do not worry.
