Christie00What is best, Temazepam helps but I need something for when I wake up in the middle of the night and can't sleep. According to my research, lol, it would be the addition of another hypnotic. Or something. My neuro appt got pushed back instead of moved up. So have to wait till early December. Anyone know what and if I should ask my neuro for something else or in addition. Neurotin didn't make me sleepy at all but did stop popping limbs. But so does Temazepam 30mg. I just don't get enough sleep with 1 pill and I want more SLEEP! Lol. I prob already asked this question but my brain is sooooo foggy. Sorry if I did. I'm gonna try to sleep. Night people! :(

Well my neuros assistant had another neuro in the office write it up for me since she is gone and I got pushed back. Thank God for little miracles!

I'm sorry to hear your app was pushed back.
Is it possible for to to get app with your gp in the meantime and speak to him/her about your sleeping pattern and that the meds are not giving you full relief? Maybe he/she could prescribe something else while you're waiting to see the neuro? Just a thought,i know how frustrating it can be when you dont get enough sleep!

I'm sorry that I'm so late in answering your Q!!
Have you tried Melatonin? Tis all natural, comes in tabs that can be purchased at any pharmacy/supermarket. Also good old Benadryl can work wonders! I used benadryl when going cold turkey off of OxyContin, and it was very helpful.
You can take melatonin in the middle of the night, with no hang over affect, as well.

Hey sweets! I wish I could take melatonin but I'm allercic, it gives me horrible headaches. I tried it when I was coming off of seroquel and my friend said it does the same to her. I tried it a couple more times and yep, headaches. :( as far as an antihistimine I cant take those either. ;( I know I am difficult. Lol. But all those work for my dad but not my mom and I.
