... mood swings. Initially I began feeling very anxious(in the second week), but recently I have been very moody and even to the point of depression without a real reason. I am not entirely sure if this is related to the Plaquenil or if it is to other stuff in my life(ie being diagnosed and stress), but has anyone else ever felt this?

I was diagnosed with Sjogren's in June & started Plaquenil in July & began noticing the same thing, along with irritability & shortness of temper. As a previous respondent noted, these are known side effects of Plaquenil. Plus, being diagnosed with a chronic disease, along with life's stressors, naturally contribute to emotional difficulties. Especially at first. A friend noticed how negative I was, & how absorbed I was in the state of my health, & suggested that I read & study "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne, which I did, with great results. Now, instead of focusing on my symptoms, drugs & prognosis, I visualize what I want & express gratitude for what I have. I find there is real power in doing this. Please get the book and/or CD or DVD - there's no harm in believing that you can have and be what you want. Best wishes.
