six yr old taking cephalexin suspension 250mg. Drank approx 25ml out of 100ml. Will there be any side effects. His dose was 5mls four times a day for a school sore. His wieghs 25kgs.

smileyhappy, he is fine. Not much doc could do except monitor him for side effects. The antibotics that he is was on can be double dose depending on the severity of the bacterial infection and he was on the lower dose. He gets to be on probotics to ensure he builds up his good intestinel bacteria and he will be fine. Thankyou for your concern. scaw
