Ginialynn... the shot interfere with their anti-anxiety meds?
Since I have had my depo-provera shot, it seems as though my Lexapro is not working. Has anyone ha?

I have been feeling the usual withdraws from Lexapro, but have been taken it daily. I am very confused

Hi Ginialynn, I'm not familiar with this side effect. I would imagine that these meds were prescribed by two different doctors. I think it would be wise for you to call them and ask each for their opinion. It's probably your best bet when it comes to finding the source of your problem. Take care, keemo7

I started on Depo and had been taking Lexapro for a couple years. I did notice that it was not helping. I switched to the generic Prozac and have never been better!
Depo-Provera will interfere with any depression or anxiety medicine. It makes it much, much worse. I am off of it and finally I don't feel like crying all the time or scared of everything ( even w/ my meds ). This is not a bc for people who have any kind of emotional problems. I actually got misdiagnosed because of it! Tell your Psych that you are on this bc and try to get them to understand that the shot interferes with your well-being. Good Luck and hope you're OK
