Carisoprodol (brand name Soma) is a muscle relaxant. Other muscle relaxants are Tizanidine (brand name Zanaflex), cyclobenzeprine (brand name Flexeril and Amrix, which Amrix is a long acting time release form) methocarbimol (brand name Robaxin) metaxalone (brand name Skelaxin) chlorzoxazone (brand name Parafon Forte) baclofen (brand name Lioresal) and orphenadrine (brand name Norflex). I have only provided one brand name but these drugs may be called by more than one brand name. Hope this helps!
