Mecgla or methylcobalamin is a form of Vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is important for metabolism. It helps in the formation of red blood cells and in the maintenance of the central nervous system. Vitamin B12 is found naturally in a wide variety of animal foods. Plant foods have no vitamin B12 unless they are fortified. Vitamin B12 supplements are generally well tolerated and side effects are uncommon. Reported side effects include headache, dizziness, weakness; nausea, upset stomach, diarrhoea; numbness or tingling; fever;joint pain ;swollen tongue; or itching or rash.
