Has anyone used carafate for their cat and seen a reaction of vomiting? I'm trying to figure out if there is a causal link or if the timing sequence I have observed with my cat is just a coincidence. Thanks.

Carafate Tablets and Suspension are used for the short-term treatment (up to 8 weeks) of an active duodenal ulcer; Carafate Tablets are also used for longer-term therapy at a reduced dosage after a duodenal ulcer has healed.
Carafate helps ulcers heal by forming a protective coating over them. The only side effect I could find was CONSTIPATION
Did you just decided to give the cat the med that is meant for HUMANS?
Did use ask a veterinarian if this med can be taken by cats?
