Should you eat before or after taking phenobarbital and does it make you bloated?

Hello kernal, I was on phenobarbital. As you know its a heavy sedative and so being that it also helped me to sleep. I'd take it early in the evening. I would again take it in the morning, and around noon time. In my case, it really didn't matter if I ate before or after taking my pill, it made no difference to me. My dose was taken 3 times per day and ss to bloating, really I had no problems in that area. Very best to you,
