I take it, along with Nuerontin to help me with the constant pain of phn. Been on it now for four years. It does ease the pain somewhat, not completely. I worry about the side effects. I take it three times a day, 75mgs. and Neurontin also three times a day, 600mgs.

I can tell you that you already know this is not working. there are many different meds out there. I would consider another route, come up with new plan. www.norml.org read about uses for pain and get legal. It works.Alot of times patients(like myself) are afraid to tell your doc fearing theyll think you are "seeking" narcotics... but if you are in pain to the point of interfering w/your day to day, then its up to you and your doc to get it figured out, and well, Im sure he has alot of patients so do your research first!

good morning apricot, I just started Lyrica about four weeks ago, yesterday I woke up and did my usual coffee and cigarette on the front porch (florida), This was the first time my mouth and throat felt weird (swollen). Lyrica is supposed to help me with breakthrough pain. I take 50mgs. after lunch and 75 mgs.before bed it helps me sleep, but I am not sure about the pain relief. This morning I have no swelling, and was able to get up w/out all that nasty morning stiffness. All rx meds. have side effects... I guess you have to see if the drugs benifits outweigh the side effects. I see my doc in a few days and I will let him know how it has been working. I would say for you to do the same thing, or call your doctor if the side effects are really bothering you. Gool luck and bless you. Hope your pain subsides.( jess ) Fall Queen
