Should I be taking Atacand 16mg once a day for hypertension, if I get daily migraines?

Migraine medicines in my experience also dilate blood vessels. Hope this was helpfull. And no I don't believe you should be on a something that constricts the vessels. Migraines are usually caused by constricted blood vessels. Have you tried Immetirx? Hope this helped you. Best of luck to you. Mary

Thanks for the input... in addition to Imitrex when I get a migraine, I am also taking Nortriptyline every night to prevent the migraines. The atacand was for my new hypertension that was discovered most likely as a result of the perimenopause condition I am currently in.

I just rememered a drug called Axert another member uses for Migraines, It's a shot, and they seem to work faster, but if you have HBP or heart trouble, they may not give it to you.
