Is there a shot or other medication than flaygel for a bacterial vaginosis infection?

Tinidazole is an antibiotic that appears to have fewer side effects than metronidazole and is also effective in treating bacterial vaginosis.
Alternatively you could try a topical metronidazole gel (a vaginal jelly).

I was given bactrim for it. It worked just fine.
