Hello gopher1. Yes it does. Most antibiotics, when taken along with alcohol, loose thier potency.Its also been reported that people mixing septra and alcohol, had side effects such as an increase in thier heart beat, nausea, dizzness. I'd not take the chance and drink any alcohol, while on septra. The best to you.
