Salmonella Enteric Fever - can ZOSYN be used for treating Enteric fever?

Details:
My son diagnosed for having S.Typhi "o" antigen ( +ve 1:80) & S.typhi "H" antigen (+ve 1:320) is being given ZOSYN (8 hourly).
He was without fever for 24 hours & discharged from hospital.
He has been advised to take this for 10 days(4.5gms) thro IV, 8 hourly
Today is the 5th day evening & now again he has a temperature of 100. I am a worried parent
