I have been on roxy for about 2 years for Herniated disks and Degenerative Spine. I am afraid of going through withdrawal from previous drug while taking Nucynta. Since I live in South Florida My Doctors office has closed and I have been left out in the cold. I don't abuse my medication and suffer from severe pain. It's a shame the hoops they make us jump through to relive our pain because of the abusers. Now I have to rely on a new medicine and hope I can find a new Doctor before I run out or if it doesn't work at all!
Roxycodone 30mg is no longer working and have been given 100mg Nucynta to try in place. Problem?

I was given 100 mg Nucynta for breakthrough pain to accompany the 4 perc's a day I was prescribed for chronic pain. I hated the Nucynta. It made me very drowsy and very forgetful and to me, it wasn't as effective as the percocet, so I can imagine how ineffective it will be for roxy. I am feeling so sorry for you. The Nucynta will keep you out of full withdrawal, though. You won't be as comfortable as you would be taking your regular meds, but I have experienced that it helped me get through the day and even go to work. I was a little nauseated and on edge, but I had klonopin for that as I am prescribed that also. Have you gotten a doctor's appt. yet? Let us know. There are a lot of people who care and are willing to help you get through your pain and withdrawal, etc...

I have been nucynta for about six months for degenertive disc problems. It has been a god sent for me as I can no longer take percs or oxycodenes as I itch severly. Lately I have been getting a lot of ringing in the ears and I am not on any asperin products. Do you think nucynta may be causing it?
