i am on the ortho evra patch and today i took 4 amoxicillin for a dental exam. to protect me from infection. i had unprotected sex today and now i am curious if the amoxicillin will cause the birth control not to work?

Does this loss of effectiveness on birth conrtol medication have long lasting effects even after the dosage of Amoxicillin is discontinued? Also, are these effects worse in some birth controls?
