Rhinocort Aqua - what does rhinocort does in the nose exactly?

I have been using this product for 4 years; it stops the inflammation in the nasal/sinus areas and any itching, sneezing etc that normally accompanies it. In the summer it alleviates my allergy reactions from grasses etc.
