Restoril - I'm only getting 4 hours of sleep with Restaril.Ambien didn't help.I?

Hello Mograce/Maureen. 4 hours is a gift in my case, being an insomniac. Well, since you're into the benzodiazepines, Flurazepam (Dalmane) worked short term for me. I was also at one time on Halcion (Triazolam). Dalmane is in my point of view, the cadillac of sleeping pills. It has a major drawback, that of a drug hangover and it took me several hours to shed the cobwebs. If you're only getting say the 4 hours on Restoril, I'm certain you can get close to 6 on Dalmane. Mind you dose is a factor. 30mg or more? Best wishes,pledge

I had that problem too... until I found triazolam or Halcion 0.25 mg. Worked like a charm for me... 8 hours of sleep.

There is a drug out caled rozerem and I take it 1/2 hour before bed and it works great and it lasts for about 5-6 hours. I highly recommend it not any side effects for me and I was allergic to Lunesta so this has worked well. Good luck sleep is essential

Restoril or ambien didn't work for me either. I have chronic insomnia. My doctor has me on 200-300mg of trazodone at bedtime. I sleep like a rock. But ease into it slowly, if not you will have a drug hangover and a monster headache the next morning.
