I have been taking this medication for years now and has always controlled the feelings I get in my legs, but lately it is not working as well and I think instead of keep increasing this medication, what are other members taking and how much. Plus how does the medication you are taking now work better then others you have tried already. Thanks Liz

Hi Liz,
Klonopin is listed as a medication for RLS on the National Institute of Health website. I don't have RLS, but I do have myoclonus which causes jerking of my hands, feet, legs, and full body when I sleep. I take Klonopin for it which works very well. But it does cause some drowsiness, so it might not be good to take all day, but might work at night for you. It is a benzodiazepine, which is addictive, but I need it. I've been taking it every night for the last 3 and a half years since my stroke which made the jerking a lot worse.
