My mother has used Ambien for years and we've always been concerned. We're noticing significant changes in her memory and some congnitive abilities. We know she has often gotten up during the night and taken a second dose without realizing it becuase on more than one occassion her perscription has run out early. She complains about nausea and dizziness and we think she might be one of the few that suffers from those side effects. We're concerned about her safety and believe if she discontinued Ambien she might have a good quality of life for some time and be able to live independtly for awhile yet. She's 83. If she doesn't stop using Ambien we believe she'll need assistance soon.
