I have been on 300mg of Provigil daily for several years for MS fatigue. I think i'm becoming immune to it. Has anyone tried anything comparable to Provigil that I can ask my doctor about?
Provigil no longer working looking for something else?

Hey jjhelton,
You can always increase the dosage. The dosage can go as high as 600mg though the recommended max is 400mg. There is also Provigil's sister drug called Nuvigil. I have taken both of these medications and prefer the Nuvigil. Worth discussing with the doc.
Best wishes,
Laurie

How many mg of Nuvigil due you take? Also are they comparable in price?
There are not comparable in price, the Provigil is more expensive than the Nuvigil. I took 300mgs of the Nuvigil for a year before my insurance company stopped paying for it. The recommended maximum for Nuvigil is 250mgs. I have now had to switch to Provigil and take 500mgs a day. Kinda ridiculous that insurance will pay for the more expensive drug and not the less expensive one, but that is the way it is.
